Innsbruck, capital of Austria’s western state of Tyrol, impresses with a beautiful medieval Old Town paired with stunning contemporary architecture, all surrounded by the majestic Alps. It is in the Inn valley, between the North Chain in the Karwendel Alps to the north, and the Patscherkofel and Serles to the south. The Inn River flows through the town. We crossed the Alps at Brenner Pass to get to Innsbruck, Austria. Innsbruck has long been a destination for winter sports and host of two Olympic Games in 1964 and 1976. This gallery includes Innsbruck and Tyrolean Countryside of Austria. Watching a Tyrolean dance and music performance was a real treat.
