My first photos from Acadia National Park were taken with an early model Nikon Coolpix way back in 2005.  At that time we were visiting the park every summer.  A few years later as I became a more serious photographer we began visiting different locations.  It was great to go back to Acadia again in the summer of 2017 with my professional camera.  Unfortunately rain and heavy fog impacted most days, so I have only a few photos at this time, but I’m sure I’ll return to expand this portfolio.

I hope you enjoy the photo from Bass Head Light on southwest portion of Mount Desert Island in Acadia National Park.  As anyone who has been there knows, reaching the shore line requires a very large boulder “scramble” from the base of the wooden steps.  It wasn’t pretty to get there, and once there the tide was rising and water was taking over the rock I was standing on.  But I am delighted with this photo and the sky.  I don’t think it got any better than this that evening.
