Prague, capital of Czech Republic and the historic region of Bohemia, is bisected by the Vltava River. The city is famous for its unique medieval architecture.  This magical city of bridges, cathedrals, gold-tipped towers and church domes, has been mirrored in the surface of the swan-filled Vltava River for more than ten centuries. The historical center of Prague is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.  Nicknamed “the City of a Hundred Spires,” it’s known for its Old Town Square, the heart of its historic core, with colorful baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the medieval Astronomical Clock, which gives an animated hourly show.

Completed in 1402, pedestrian Charles Bridge is lined with statues of Catholic saints.  Crossing the Vltava River on the Charles Bridge leads to Lesser Town with the Church of St Nicholas, the most beautiful Baroque church in Prague.  The Devil’s Channel, sometimes also called Little Prague Venice in English, is a canal situated in the Lesser Quarter.  The John Lennon Wall, located near John Lennon Pub has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti and pieces of lyrics from Beatles’ songs since the 1980s.  And in the center of Prague high on a hill is Prague Castle with Gothic St Vitus Cathedral and The Golden Lane.  There was so much to see and do in Prague it is no wonder it is the most visited city in Central Europe.
