I can think of no better place to be in Autumn than southern West Virginia, with its mountains and gorges and abundance of hardwood trees barely holding on to those leaves turning vivid colors of red, orange and yellow. West Virginia New River Gorge Area provides ample opportunities for photography, from the steel-arched 3030 foot-long Bridge that spans the gorge to abundant waterfalls along the river and its tributaries. Babcock State Park is located along the New River Gorge and the Glade Creek Grist Mill is the subject of many photos – no exception here! While everyone was staying home during the Pandemic of 2020-2021, changes were underway to designate the New River Gorge as our 63rd National Park in 2021!
Hope you enjoy this selection of images from that region.
